Banana Nut Bread

3 Cups flour
1½ teaspoons baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt

Sift dry ingredients.

¾ Cup sugar
1 egg
½ cup buttermilk
3 Tablespoons oil
1 Cup (2-3) mashed bananas

Mix sugar, egg, milk, oil, nuts and bananas.


Add dry ingredients and beat hard about 30 seconds. Bake at 350° 45-50 minutes. Bread is done when a broom or weed straw pulls out clean. Recipe makes 2 small pans or 1 small and 1 glass pan. Doubling the recipe will make 3 small pans and 1 glass pan.
